From cradle to grave, unless...

Local artist and friend of UNLESS, Tim Webb created his unique commentary based on the idea that we are surrounded by plastics our entire lives. As Tim tells it,  “We start with a plastic bottle and in the end, we wind up in a bag. It demonstrates just how intertwined we are with plastics throughout our entire lives and without any effort. Plastics are thrust upon us from birth to death. We are the ones that must make the change. Plants are chill, relaxed and happy hanging out with these monuments. Mushrooms are rising to represent an opening, change, and decomposition.”

Printed on our newest Utility Grade tee that features a boxy cut with built-to-last heavy-duty cotton, a dry hand, and rugged construction for max quality and durability. Made in the USA with zero plastic, our new Utility Grade tee has a one-inch shorter sleeve and body than our Essentials tee for a more functional fit.

All of our tees are 100% plant-based, made from heavy 8 oz. cotton and nothing else.

Ingredients

7.8 oz cotton fabric
Cotton thread
Cotton tags and labels

Innovation

UNLESS tees use a low-impact reactive dyeing process. We use a water-based printing technique that allows our graphics to soak into the cotton fibers and become part of the shirts themselves, so the graphics aren’t just stuck on top of our shirts like melted plastic.

Every bit of this shirt, from fabric to labels to sewing thread is made from plants and will decompose naturally at the end of its useful life. Send it back to us for free, when you are ready to retire it and we will take care of the rest.

This is what a sustainable t-shirt should look and feel like.
